Moving from the UK to Portugal amidst a global pandemic was a fairly stressful time due to many uncertainties and delays. I also had to leave behind some of my most precious plants, as our plan to take the ferry as foot passengers with them in hand was derailed. But we were welcomed so warmly by our neighbours! This is one of several a welcome gift from Antonia who, despite our inability to communicate easily, found a way to share a love of plants with me!
