Anita is a gregarious and ever generous woman with whom I began to get to know by waving to her from our living room window. She lives in a building across the way with both our windows being great vantage points from which we can observe the daily routines of our little village in the city. We finally introduced ourselves at our local tasca and since then we’ve swapped stories over delicious meals and some strong drinks. This painting is of a delicious gift brought to us straight from a fisherman’s boat in the Algarve.
